I didn't see a discussion on this idea I had here in my short search. If there is could you let me know I'd love to read it.

Ok I was contemplating an addition to the matching system in GvG that would give you a chance to disprove the match if the team you were matched against was really not worthy. Maybe if the rank or rating difference was quite large it would let either team pass.

Reason I mention this is that our guild is just getting involved it the PvP and GvG parts of Guild Wars as we add more members. The core group is people who prefer doing PvE and just playing with friends. Well our guild that was ranked in the 1300s at the start of the night got matched against guilds with rank: 20, 80, two in the 200s, one in the 400s, and one in the 1300s. Now that 1300 was right in the middle of the battle list. We should probably have just called it quits after the first couple but once we saw a 1300 we figured there really was a few guilds on we might be competative with. Then once we got the 20 I just wanted to see if we would get pitted against the top 5. Needless to say we ended up the night with a rank of 5,000+ and a very comical discussion with the guild that we played last.

Does anyone else think it would be nice to have this sort of check in place? Frankly for the guilds that destroyed our team in less than 5 minutes it probably wasn't worth their time to battle us. This would have given us a chance to find someone who we were hopefully better matched against and would have let those high ranked teams play against a team that they could have gotten more points playing against.

I've also had this occur to me, my guild is usually rank 180s but since we only gvgs on weekends we slowly creep to 200s again, whenever WE Gvg we either:

- Run into top 20, sometimes put up good fights, sometimes die
-Run into rank 1000+ Decimating the team in about 5 minutes making THEM Feel worthless and us feel guilty for running through them

I hardly ever run into a guild ranked 300/Upper 100s, or even from 100-500, The ONLY time i ran into another guild near us was in the 600s of them, they ran an air spiker, we got annoyed and eventually won. Half of the 'upper' guilds either run fairly simplistic builds with excellant calling or just balanced build (Id prefer these, more skill imo).

Btw, if anyone tries to look my guild up you will find that this guild is not ranked, my current guild is Spartans United [Rage] and im too lazy to change
